Curriculum Planning, Design and Development for Parliamentary Staff

This RTI course is specifically designed for parliamentary staff involved in capacity building, training, policy development, legislative support, public education, and internal human resource development. This includes, but is not limited to, staff from:

• Parliamentary academies and training units
• Research and policy analysis departments
• Public education and outreach offices
• Clerk’s offices and procedural support
• Committee secretariats
• Human Resources and Organisational Development

This comprehensive course provides parliamentary staff with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to effectively plan, design, and develop robust and impactful curricula. Participants will learn systematic approaches to identifying training needs, formulating clear learning objectives, structuring content, selecting appropriate methodologies, and evaluating the effectiveness of their educational interventions. The course will emphasize the unique context of parliamentary work, ensuring that developed curricula are relevant, responsive, and contribute directly to enhancing parliamentary functions and staff capabilities.
